Information we collect
The app stores your practice data on your device. This can include session history, mantra selections, favorites, reminder preferences, sankalpas, playback settings, and other app preferences.
Health and wellness data
Because Mantra Japa is a meditation and practice-tracking app, some information created inside the app can be considered health or wellness-related data. This includes your meditation or chanting session history, streaks, goals, saved practice commitments, favorites, and insights derived from that activity. Mantra Japa uses this data only to provide the app’s core features, such as showing your history, restoring your preferred content, and displaying progress or premium insights inside the app.
Mantra Japa does not read health data from Google Fit, Health Connect, Apple Health, or device sensors. The app only uses the wellness-related information that you create or generate inside Mantra Japa itself.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Mantra Japa schedules local notifications on your device. These reminders are used only to support your practice and are not used for advertising or profiling.
Subscriptions and payments
If you purchase a subscription, transaction processing and entitlement validation may be handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. Those services may process purchase identifiers, subscription status, and basic device or account metadata needed to complete billing, restore purchases, and confirm access.
How your information is used
- To store and display your practice progress inside the app.
- To schedule optional local reminders that you have chosen to enable.
- To validate active premium access, restore purchases, and support subscription features.
- To calculate streaks, summaries, favorites, and other wellness or practice insights within the app.
What the app does not do
- No account sign-up is required to use the app.
- No advertising SDKs are intentionally included.
- No custom analytics or behavioral tracking is intentionally collected by the app.
- No practice history is intentionally sent to a developer-operated backend.
Data sharing
The developer does not sell your personal information. Data needed for billing, subscriptions, or purchase restoration may be processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under their own policies.
Meditation or chanting history created inside the app is stored locally on your device and is not intentionally transmitted to a custom developer-operated backend. If you make a purchase, store and subscription processors may receive purchase-related records needed to validate payment or entitlement status.
Data retention
Practice data stored locally remains on your device until you remove it from the app or uninstall the app, subject to your device platform behavior. Purchase-related records may also be retained by the relevant app store or RevenueCat according to their legal and operational requirements.
- Local wellness or practice history remains on the device until you clear it in the app or uninstall the app.
- Reminder settings remain on the device until you disable reminders, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
- Purchase and subscription support records may be retained by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat under their own legal and operational retention requirements.
- Support emails sent to the developer may be retained until the request is resolved, unless a deletion request requires a shorter retention period or a legal obligation requires longer retention.
Deletion and your choices
You can disable reminders in app settings, clear local app history from the settings screen, and manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
- You can delete local meditation or chanting history from the app’s Settings screen using the clear-data option.
- You can uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data, subject to your device’s platform behavior.
- You can request deletion of eligible purchase-related or support-related records by following the steps on the Delete Data page.
